Why i write ?

Why I Write

This is my first post in english language.

I hope that you forgive me for my english poor. *_*

"Why I write" is a book of George Orwell.

Mr. Orwell has given a numerous gifts us : "1984", "Animal farm", "Homage to Catalonia"...

This book, it's separated in four stories.

• Why I write
• The Lion and the Unicorn
• A Hanging
• Politics and the English Language

Every story is a different portion of the mind of Mr. Orwell. You can agree with him or not, but their stories can not read without a little feeling of distress.

"Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of some painful illness."

I am agree with Mr. Orwell, I think that every writer is a ill man.

"Spaniards are cruel to animals, Italians can do nothing without making a deafening noise, the Chinese are addicted to gambling."

Actually, we aren't different... it is true or not ? ;-(
The bad things are very difficult to change.

"Public life in England has never ben openly scandalous."

I'm sorry Mr. Orwell but the public life in England has changed in the last years...
The public and private life is very notorius in the newspapers.
I want to show sad examples:

• The death of Lady Di.
• Prince Charles and Camilla.
• Struggle of students.

No, no, no, Mr. Orwell. The England that you met... died long time ago.

Hip, hip, Hurrah !! I love that song.

It's a interesting idea, George summarizes in four lines the difference between Socialism and Fascism. It's a pity that a lot of people don't understand this idea basic!!

"The lady in the Rolls-Royce car is more damaging to morale than a fleet of Goering's bombing planes."

George attack the rich class of society.

"The spanish people were defeated, but the things they learned during those two and a half memorable years will one day come back upon the Spanish Fascists like a boomerang."

George Orwell had reason. The time will place all people in the right site. The people, in general, haven't fascist ideas. All people want to live in peace with other people.
